Introducing the #5MinuteFriday Series. One simple topic, that takes me no longer than 5 minutes to write, and you, no more than 5 minutes to read.
Ready, go.
5 Things To Immediately Stop Doing With Your Facebook Ads
1.Boosting your posts and expecting real results. The “boost” button is Facebook’s gateway drug for social advertising. It limits you, creates a mess within your Facebook ad account and causes you to go after engagment metrics instead of conversion metrics. Stop doing that.
2. Guessing your audience. Stop using interest targeting and throwing in 100 interests you think your potential buyers will like to create an audience of 2.5 million people. Use custom audiences, look-a-likes and use Facebook to its potential.
3. Not scaling your budget. Your budget should match the number of people you’re trying to reach, and the frequency you want to reach them. If it doesn’t, it’s time to change your budget, the size of your audience, your expectations, your strategy or all of the above.
4. Not planning your campaigns. Facebook has a brilliant campaign manager. Use it. Or let me show you how to.
5. Using boring creative. This online space is crowded. Really crowded. Don’t expect your campaigns to get real results with half-ass creative.
That’s it. That’s all. Have a great weekend.
